Avoid Independent Thinking.

'Does "the faithful and discreet slave" [1] endorse independent groups of Witnesses who meet together to engage in Scriptural research or debate? - No, it does not. ... "the faithful and discreet slave" does not endorse any literature, meetings, or Web sites that are not produced or organized under it's oversight.' Sept 2007 Kingdom Ministry, 'Question Box'

'In modern times, a very small number among God’s people have become disgruntled with some aspect of Christian teaching and have murmured against the earthly part of Jehovah’s organization. ... some fall into the trap of independent thinking. Whatever the reason, such murmuring is hazardous, since it can draw us back into the world and its ways.' Watchtower July 15, 2006, Article: 'Focus on the Goodness of Jehovah’s Organization', par 14

'When it comes to pure worship, it is vital that we look to Jehovah for direction and cooperate with “the faithful and discreet slave” and the congregation elders. That is a way to seek righteousness, and it protects us from developing an independent spirit.' Watchtower Jan 1, 2006, Article: 'Seeking Righteousness Will Protect Us.' par 17

'How is such independent thinking manifested? A common way is by questioning the counsel that is provided by God's visible organization.' Watchtower Jan 15, 1983, Article: 'Exposing the Devil’s Subtle Designs', Subtitle: 'Avoid Independent Thinking', page 22, Par 21

Speaking In Agreement.

The Jehovah's Witnesses follow the Apostle Paul's counsel to 'speak in agreement'. 1:10 Now I make request to you, my brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you will all say the same thing, and that there may be no divisions among you, so that you may be in complete agreement, in the same mind and in the same opinion. 1 Cor. 1:10.

Did Jesus teach this? If not, why is the theology of the Apostle Paul different? Should true Christians follow Jesus or the Apostle Paul? Get the Facts About The Apostle Paul

Disagreeing with the organization is a serious matter that can result in excommunication (disfellowshipping). See Reasons For Disfellowshipping
