Jehovah's Witnesses and The 'Law' of the Christ.

Elder's Publication PAY ATTENTION TO YOURSELVES AND TO ALL THE FLOCK.

This is what the Jehovah's Witnesses elder's manual, Pay Attention To Yourselves And To All The Flock says about the law of the Christ and how elders should enforce obedience to church doctrines.

Quotes From the Publication For Elders.

Some refer to this guide for elders as a 'secret' publication because it is not available to anyone other than congregations elders. The following quotes are taken from Unit 6b 'Under 'the Law of the Christ'.

Quote: "The law of the Christ" is not the body of laws that
formed the Mosaic Law of ancient Israel. (Gal. 6:2; Col. 2:
13, 14) Since Pentecost 33 C. E., Christians have been "under
law toward Christ." This control is called "the perfect
law that belongs to freedom."--1 Cor. 9:21; Jas. 1:25; it-2
p. 221.

(Note: How much freedom do Jehovah's Witnesses have? See 141 Things Jehovah's Witnesses Can't Do)

Quote: Jesus did not personally write down a set of laws. Furthermore,
his disciples did not set down laws in the form of a
code for Christians,

Quote: Christians are under the law of the Christ, not the
Mosaic Law. (1 Cor. 9:21)

Quote: The law of the Christian system of things involves the
heart. (Jer. 31:33; Heb. l0:16)

Quote: For our protection and spiritual security, it is essential
that we he obedient to the law of the Christ.

The elder's manual for Jehovah's Witnesses correctly states that 'Jesus did not personally write down a set of laws. Furthermore, his disciples did not set down laws in the form of a code for Christians,'.

They are also correct in saying, 'This control is called "the perfect law that belongs to freedom." The law of Jesus Christ is one of freedom, ( not rules and regulations ).

And finally they are correct when they say, 'For our protection and spiritual security, it is essential that we be obedient to the law of the Christ.'

Compare Watchtower Laws, Rules, and Regulations With the Law of the Christ.

Compare the law of Jesus with all the rules and regulations of the Watchtower Society. For example, here are 141 things Jehovah's Witnesses can't do. Also consider what the Watchtower says about the Apostate Jehovah's Witnesses. (These are Jehovah's Witnesses who leave their religion.) Hatred of enemies directly violates and opposes the teachings of Jesus. Decide for yourself if they are followers of Christ's law or opposers of God, who have 'run ahead' of Christ's teachings. 2 John 1: 9 - 11

Some believe that the Watchtower makes things complicated because they're in the business of printing literature and accepting donations. They need readers to study their complicated rules and regulations diligently and spread the good news so their apostate organization that has fallen away from the teachings of Jesus can continue to grow.

How can they be God's organization when they know the truth about what Jesus said and do exactly the opposite? The Watchtower's handbook accurately explains what the law of Christ means. However their rules and regulations are not what Jesus taught.

Does Disfellowshipping Keep The Organization Clean?

Do rules, regulations, disfellowshipping, and shunning keeping their organization 'clean'? Or are these practices doing just the opposite? Find out why disfellowshipping opposes what Jesus taught and why some people say disfellowshipping has nothing to do with keeping 'God's organization' clean. Some believe that disfellowshipping is a Theocratic War Strategy that hides the truth from Jehovah's Witnesses.

Consider this. If the Watchtower told readers the truth, that the law of Christ is all we need, and that Christ is the only mediator between God and man, why would anyone need them? People could attend any Christian church or simply read the words of Jesus alone or with friends. Why would anyone need to study all those Watchtower publications and go from door to door finding more recruits for the organization?

What Did Jesus Say About Judging?

Jesus told his followers not to judge. Luke 6:37. That's why true Christian religions do not have judicial committees. Followers of the Apostle Paul, Edward Gibbon, and the early Christian congregation might believe differently. However followers of Jesus do not judge. See Facts About The Apostle Paul

The handbook 'Pay Attention To Yourselves And To All The Flock' deals extensively with how to keep the organization 'clean' by judging and then disfellowshipping anyone who disagrees with Watchtower teachings. [1] Not only have they added to the perfect law of God, but they also judge Jehovah's Witnesses harshly based on doctrines Jesus did not teach.

Shepherd The Flock Of God.

A new secret publication for Elder's only was released in 2010. It is called Shepherd The Flock Of God. Only Elders are allowed to be in possession of this document.
