What does the Bible say about wickedness?

What Jehovah's Witnesses Believe About Jesus Their Mediator.

What The Bible Says About Jesus The Mediator.

'For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,' 1 Timothy 2:5 NIV. A Christian's direct relationship with Jesus is symbolized by baptism

What The Watchtower Says.

'Jesus Christ, is not the Mediator between Jehovah God and all mankind. He is the Mediator between his heavenly Father, Jehovah God, and the nation of spiritual Israel, which is limited to only 144,000 members.' Worldwide Security Under the "Prince of Peace" page 10-11

'Hence, the ransom sacrifice is fundamental to the new covenant, of which Jesus is the Mediator. Paul wrote: “There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, a man, Christ Jesus, who gave himself a corresponding ransom for all—this is what is to be witnessed to at its own particular times.” (1 Timothy 2:5, 6) Those words especially apply to the 144,000, with whom the new covenant is made.' WT Feb 15, 1991 “You Were Bought With a Price”

'in this strict Biblical sense Jesus is the "mediator" only for anointed Christians. …The "great crowd" of "other sheep" that is forming today is not in that new covenant. However, by their associating with the "little flock" of those yet in that covenant they come under benefits that flow from that new covenant." Watchtower April 1, 1979 page 31.

'They recognize that they are not spiritual Israelites in the new covenant mediated by Jesus Christ, nor part of the "chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation."-1 Pet. 2:9. 24 Yet they do benefit from the operation of the new covenant. They benefit from this just as, in ancient Israel, the "alien resident" benefited from residing in among the Israelites who were in the Law covenant.-Ex. 20:10; Lev. 19:10, 33, 34; Rev. 7:9-15. 25 To keep in relationship with "our Savior, God," the "great crowd" needs to remain united with the remnant of spiritual Israelites." Watchtower Nov 15, 1979 page 27 Benefiting from "One Mediator Between God and Men"

New Light On The Anointed Christians and The Great Crowd.

Has the 'truth' changed? Why is the importance of the anointed remnant downplayed in recent years?

Watchtower now says 'Christians who have truly received this anointing do not demand special attention. They do not believe that their being of the anointed gives them special insights beyond what even some experienced members of the “great crowd” may have. (Rev. 7:9) They do not believe that they necessarily have more holy spirit than their companions of the “other sheep” have.' (Watchtower June 15, 2009 pages 23, 24)

The anointed Christians were very important a few years ago. Jehovah's Witnesses believed that the anointed ones were God's slave. See The Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses. Are They Anointed?

What Jehovah's Witnesses Believe About The 144000

Jehovah's Witnesses believe 144,000 people are chosen or 'anointed' to go to heaven and rule the earth with Jesus when he returns to establish his Kingdom. Everyone else will be given a new physical body and be resurected to live on the earth.

Learn more about why it was necessary to invent the doctrine of the 'great crowd' in the 1930's and seperate the great crowd with the 'earthly hope' from the 144000 anointed 'spiritual' Isrealites. Bill Cetnar along with other former leaders deep within the organization talk about this forgotten 'truth' that current Jehovah's Witnesses have no knowledge of. See Jehovah's Witnesses testify

Other spellings: annoited, anoited, anointed, annointed.

Inspirational Quote
Jesus taught us about God's love because the old Mosaic law had limitations. Likewise today, 'correct' religious beliefs and the observance of rules can't save us. We are saved by God's grace. The Bible says, 'I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!' Galatians 2:21
