The Watchtower says they are God's 'channel of communication'. Since God is a spirit, they must be in communication with spirit. They are 'channeling' spirit.
In addition, to be baptized, JW's must agree to this, 'Do you understand that your dedication and baptism identify you as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in association with God’s spirit-directed organization?' See Baptism Vows
1. On rare accessions, the Watchtower has admitted having no divine inspiration. How can you be God's channel of communication and have no divine inspiration at the same time?
Since they have no divine inspiration, is it possible that the 'spirit-directed' information they channel could be coming from spirits other than God?
2. Spiritualism is not allowed in the Watchtower religion. It is thought to be dangerous. The Watchtower says, 'If you dabble in spiritism, stop immediately. Protect yourself from the demons', Watchtower Jan 1, 2009, Article: 'Do You Fear The Dead?', 2nd last par.
Since the Watchtower says they are 'spirit-directed' and have no divine inspiration, where are their 'spirit-directed' messages coming from?
The Watchtower teaches that Satan masquerades as an angel of light. Satan tries to deceive and trick us into leaving God. He gives us information that is not from God. 2 Cor. 11:13-15. See 'What Does The Bible Really Teach?'
If this is true, then how does the Watchtower know that they're messages are from God? How can they be sure?
Jesus gave us some clues. He told us to love God and our neighbors with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength. Mark 12:28-34;
He told us that God is kind to the wicked and ungrateful. Luke 6:35; He told us not to judge. Luke 6:37;
He told us to love our enemies. Luke 6:35; And in the parable of the Good Samaritan, Jesus illustrates that our neighbors include all people, - even complete strangers. Luke 10:25-37;
Followers of Christ do good unto others. Luke 6:32-36; Christians are kind to the wicked and ungrateful just like God. Luke 6:35; This makes Christians sons of the Most High. Luke 6:35
Since Jesus taught us about God's love, spirit messages that are not loving are not from God.
