According to the Watchtower, if we dedicate our life to Jehovah and his organization, i.e. the Watchtower, our chances of making it through armageddon are very good.
In fact the Watchtower says that "Only Jehovah's Witnesses, those of the anointed remnant and the "great crowd," as a united organization under the protection of the Supreme Organizer, have any Scriptural hope of surviving the impending end of this doomed system dominated by Satan the Devil." Watchtower Sept 1, 1989
Some people remember seeing graphic illustrations in the Watchtower, depicting wicked non Witnesses being slaughtered at armageddon, while Jehovah's Witnesses are fully protected and happy they have the only true religion.
Fear is a good reason why Jehovah's Witnesses take their preaching work seriously. They believe it's their responsibility to 'warn the wicked and help God save people. They must bring people into the 'ark', and the safety of the Watchtower organization before armageddon comes.
Christians generally don't consider armageddon to be good news.
The main theme of Christian good news is that God offers us his love, support, and forgiveness through Jesus Christ, ... Yes the Bible says that we can have relatonship directly with Jesus. We do NOT need a 'visible representative' or any particular religion to be saved. Luke 10:25-28
The Bible says Jesus is the mediator between God and man. 1 Timothy 2:5.
Yes, but they have interpreted 1 Timothy 2:5 differently than other Christians. They say that Jesus is NOT the mediator between God and man. He is the mediator between God and 144,000 ( 144000 ) chosen ones which includes God's faithful slave, the Watchtower's leadership. Therefore in order to survive armageddon JW's must affiliate themselves with the Watchtower and obey God based on the Watchtower's interpretation of the Bible.
JW's believe they must trust the Watchtower completely and put their faith in God's channel of communication because the Watchtower organization is spirit directed. Ordinary Jehovah's Witnesses believe that a personal relationship with Jesus is not good enough. Dedicating their life to Jehovah and 'his' organization is a required for their salvation.

3. According to the JW's, Jehovah hates 'wickedness' and that's why he will destroy billions of people at armageddon who are not affiliated with his organization. However there are billions of good people who are not 'wicked' and they are not Jehovah's Witnesses. If Jehovah executes those who are examples of Christ's love along with the 'wicked', critics say Jehovah would be far more wicked than the people he destroys.
