The truth is that God is love. He is compassionate, caring, and non judgmental. The Bible is very clear on this. In addition, love is the common theme that unites many mainstream religions including Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, and Jainism. Most Christians do not want to admit that people of other religions could have the truth, but the fact remains that love throughout many cultures has withstood the test of time in our understanding of God.
Is it the truth that only followers of Jehovah have the truth? Critics say serving Jehovah the God of Moses and Abraham is far different than serving God 'the Father' of Jesus. We have good reasons to believe this is true based on what the Bible says about this ancient god. See Jehovah and Jahova
Jehovah's Witnesses pride themselves on having correct beliefs and a truthful interpretation of the Bible. All other religions are thought to be false and part of Satan's organization.Jehovah's Witnesses believe that according to the Bible, their religion is the one that Jehovah will save out of all the belief systems in the world today. Watchtower Sept 1989.
Does correctness of beliefs mean we have 'the truth'? Or does loving our neighbor as yourself mean we have the truth? Jehovah's Witnesses believe they have it all. Truth and love. Critics disagree on both counts. When we carefully examine the beliefs of Jehovah's Witnesses and compare them to the teachings of Jesus, we see important contradictions. Why is that? Because instead of relying only on the words of Jesus, the JW's base their faith on the entire Bible. See All Scriptures Are Inspired
JW's try to harmonize what Jesus said with what Moses said and even the Pharisees that opposed Jesus. Acts 15 (Read the entire chapter and notice that Pharisees were involved making decisions within the early Christian congregation!).
Jesus warned his followers about the Pharisees and rebuked them for being self-righteous hypocrites! Matthew 23:13; Luke 12:56; Luke 12:15; Mark 7:6; Luke 12:1; Matthew 16:6; Matthew 12:11
One of the first Pharisees to become a Christian was the Apostle Paul. He publicly admitted to being a Pharisee AFTER he converted to Christianity! Get the Facts About The Apostle Paul.
