Definition of Grace.

Jehovah's Witnesses believe they must work for Jehovah's organization by going door to door, distributing literature, preparing for meetings, attending meetings, conventions, and participating in church activities. Why is that?

We are told in God's word that eternal life is a free gift paid for by the blood of Jesus. We don't have to work for it. We can't buy it by being loyal to an organization. Being a Jehovah's Witness does not guarantee our salvation. We are saved by 'God's grace'. His love for us and all his creation is amazing. That's why many of us love the gospel song 'Amazing Grace'.

What is God's Grace?

God loves everything he created. It is all good. Jesus says God the Father blesses the righteous and the evil ones. He does not judge. Matthew 5:43-48. That's why critics say Jehovah is a very different god than the one Jesus described. Jehovah is a God of judgment. He was the God of the Pharisees. Jesus came to earth to teach us about God's grace.

Jehovah's Witnesses try to work for God's love by having correct beliefs. They strive to be separate from false religion. The truth of the matter is no religion is perfect. All religions have made mistakes. Some religions have judged their neighbors harshly. Critics say that the Watchtower organization is a perfect example of this. JW's have judged all religions except theirs. They believe that all religions have false doctrines. These are dominated by Satan the Devil and will be destroyed by God at armageddon. Only their religion is pure, clean, and correct. Is this not the epitome of arrogance and judgment? Though extremely harsh, they have judged apostates even more severely.

What makes the Jehovah Witness religion better than other religions? Perhaps they don't go to war and kill people physically. But their beliefs and judgments have caused much emotional pain and suffering in the name of God. Certainly Jesus was very clear that his followers should not judge their neighbors because God does not.

Critics say that some of their false doctrines such as refusal to accept blood transfusions has led to the unnecessary deaths of many faithful Jehovah's Witnesses. For this and other reasons, some believe the Jehovah's Witnesses are a cult

What religions don't understand is that their organizations cannot save God's people no matter how truthful or correct their doctrines are. God's people always belong to God and no one else. Religions can never take God's place. Critics say that speaking on behalf of God and requiring loyalty to be saved when judgment day arrives is blasphemy. The Bible talks about how to identify a false prophet. Let God's word be your only authority.

We are saved by God's grace. He loves us when we're good and when we're bad. It doesn't matter which church we go to. Perhaps we don't go to any church at all. Religions have absolutely nothing to do with salvation. Jesus made this fact very clear in the Bible. God loves us when are beliefs are correct and when they're false. Followers of Jesus love all their neighbors regardless of what they believe. In doing so, the Bible says we become sons of the Most High.

God's grace is undeserved. It's unconditional love for all who put their faith in Jesus. All authority has been given unto him. Matthew 28:18,19 Jesus taught us to love our enemies and do good to those who dislike us.

Jesus died for us so we may live. Grace is a free gift because God loves us more than we can understand. There's nothing we can do to earn salvation. All we can do is appreciate God's unconditional love for us. When we feel God's grace, we can accept all our brothers and sisters world wide with love. No matter what religion a person belongs to, there is only one God who created us. Therefore all humans are God's people. Religions cannot take the place of God. He makes the rain fall on all of us. He blesses the righteous and the wicked. We are blessed by God's grace in spite of the many mistakes we make.

We can try to follow the instructions of Jesus about loving our neighbors and never judging the wicked, but when we fail, we can pray to God. He forgives us as we forgive others. We are saved, - not by our righteousness and correct beliefs, but by God's grace.

The Bible says, "Teacher," he asked, "what must I do to inherit eternal life?" "What is written in the Law?" he replied. "How do you read it?" He answered: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'" "You have answered correctly," Jesus replied. "Do this and you will live." Luke 10:25-28
