In addition to 'the faithful slave' (or servant), Jesus also spoke of an unfaithful slave that 'beats' all the other slaves and servants of the 'master'.
When referring to the unfaithful slave, Jesus said that the master will 'cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'
The assumption that God appointed one slave or a slave class to provide food for all other slaves of God, is not what the Bible says in Matthew 24:43-51. Jesus does not say that he or God will appoint a visible representative. No one knows the identity of the faithful slave, unfaithful slave, or the master. This Bible passage is a parable. It is uncertain what Jesus was trying to illustrate.
All we know about the unfaithful slave is that he 'beats' all the other slaves that belong to the 'master'. Jehovah's Witnesses believe that anointed ones represented by their Governing Body is God's faithful slave. Please read Matthew 24:43-51 carefully. Does the Bible say that? If not, why have Jehovah's Witnesses added to what Jesus said in the Bible?
Let's assume that the Jehovah's Witnesses are correct about Matthew 24:43-51. Let's assume that the master is Jesus or Jehovah. And let's assume that the slave is their visible religious organization. Is God's slave faithful or does God's slave 'beat' all other servants of the lord? Please examine the evidence. See Disfellowshipping, the Watchtower Sept 1, 1989, and Apostate Jehovah's Witnesses.
If Jehovah's Witnesses do not try to 'beat' all other paths to God, why do they go door to door warning people that only Jehovah's Witnesses have any scriptural hope of surviving this doomed system of things dominated by Satan the Devil? Watchtower Sept 1, 1989 Why do Jehovah's Witnesses believe they have the only path to God?
Why do Jehovah's Witnesses feel it would displease Jehovah to attend services at any other church? Are they not judging other servants of God harshly? Did Jesus give Christians the right to judge other Christians? No he did not. Luke 6:37. According to the Bible all baptized Christians are equal. There is no requirement to belong to a religion in order to be saved. Religions cannot save people. Only Jesus has that authority according to Matthew 28:18,19.
Some Jehovah's Witnesses have told us that all other religions do the same thing. All of them claim to be God's people and the only true religion. While most people disagree that there is only one path to God, it is a valid opinion based on the limited knowledge Jehovah's Witnesses have of other religions. After all JW's are not allowed to attend any other church, or read their literature, so how do they know what other religions say? How do they know if what others say is true or false if their minds are closed to all opposing viewpoints? Also one would expect 'false religions' to make false claims. We would not expect 'God's organization' to do the same things 'false religions' do.
