Jehovah's Witnesses are proud of their unique 'Theocratic' language. However they don't understand the purpose of the words they use. In fact after a while, they take their words for granted. They don't realize how many times they're being exposed to the same messages over and over again. What's wrong with this?
All words have special meanings. Words create thoughts, and thoughts control how you feel. Feelings control what you do and your state of mind. Critics say that being exposed to the unique language of Jehovah's Witnesses over a long period of time can take away your personal power. Instead of being in charge, the organization takes over. All this happens unconsciously with the use of simple but powerful words.
If you spend a lot of time with Jehovah's Witnesses you can start to believe things that make no logical sense. It's like falling asleep and watching a dream that appears very real. However when you wake up, you understand it was only a dream. It wasn't real. The trick is to stay awake. Some Jehovah's Witnesses never wake up. They are in a very deep sleep-like state. That's why their fantasy world, filled nonsensical ideas looks very real. Even if they decide to leave, they unconsciously take their words with them and remain in a hypnotic sleep. Their 'theocratic' language can keep them firmly attached and under the control of the Watchtower Society decades after they leave. Some never fully wake up to reality.
The best thing you can do is never give your power away. You do this by understanding how simple words and phrases can be used to control minds. However if you've been a Jehovah's Witness for a while and wonder why you're not happy, it might be that you've given away your power and don't know how to get it back. Here's how to take your power back.
Have you heard the saying, 'knowledge is power'? It's true. Once you understand how you gave your power away, you can't be fooled again. You can begin to take your power back for good.
Ever wonder why the Watchtower tells us all we need is their literature? Is it true that if we study the Bible without these books and magazines we will fall into spiritual darkness? The Bible is God's Word. God never leads his people into spiritual darkness.
Is it true that only Jehovah's Witnesses are perfectly correct about everything all the time? Is it true that they are the only ones 'in the truth' and everyone else is 'out of the truth'? Common sense tells us this is a lie.
Honest JW's admit their organization can make mistakes just like anyone else. That's why JW's look forward to 'new truths'. The old ones were false and needed to be changed. Since every religion can change their interpretation of the Bible anytime, none of them are perfect.
Perhaps the Watchtower is the 'most' truthful religion or 'more truthful' and all other religions are less truthful. JW's like to believe this is true, but is it? Are Watchtower doctrines 51% truthful or 99% truthful? The answer to this question is very important. If JW's are right only 51% of the time time, it means that other religions are right 49% of the time. In other words, what they have to say is almost as truthful.
Words like 'most, more, frequently, best, better', etc are judgmental words. They are subjective. They carry no power or authority. Claims about being the best is just a way for people to feel like they're better than everyone else. When you take back your power, you begin to understand that everyone else has the same right.
i.e. You are responsible for your own life and other's are responsible for theirs. Taking back your power means your happiness depends on you, not others or an organization. Likewise others should not depend on you for their happiness. Depending on others for one's happiness always leads to disappointment. To take back your power you must decide what's best for you. Take charge of your own life and change it for the better. Don't wait for someone else to do it for you.
Critics say that being 'in the truth' has nothing to do with being right or wrong. This innocent looking phrase, 'in the truth', is being used within the organization to make members think their beliefs are superior to those who have been labeled 'out of the truth'?
The fact of the matter is that being 'in the truth' or 'out of the truth' is a powerful mind control phrase. How does it work? When people believe they are 'in the truth' their minds are programmed to believe only one perspective. When the same people believe everyone outside their group is 'out of the truth', their minds are turned off. In other words, they accept things as truthful or not truthful, not based on truth, facts, or logic, but based on the source.
Arm yourself with knowledge. Lies are lies. The truth is the truth. Read all viewpoints. Through prayer and guidance from God's Holy Spirit, decide what you will believe. Don't give your power away to anyone, - even if they claim to represent God. They don't. No one does. No religion is perfect. No one is right all the time. Sometimes we answer questions correctly and sometimes we don't. If we had correct answers to every question and never made mistakes, we wouldn't need the sacrifice of Jesus. We'd be perfect just like God.
Take responsibility for your life and your beliefs. Don't let anyone else tell you what you must believe and what is the truth. Do your own research from all sources with an open mind. Do not let Watchtower beliefs and programming prevent you from accepting truthful information from people outside your organization. Consider new information carefully without jumping to conclusions based on what the Watchtower says. Question your current beliefs.
'But Jesus called the children to him and said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.' Luke 18:16 Don't let current beliefs hinder you from understanding new perspectives that can help you take back your power and find happiness. The Kingdom of God belongs to those who are able to eagerly accept empowering new beliefs like children and abandon old ones that have controlled their life for many years.
Let God guide you with his Holy Spirit as you carefully read the following articles. Pray for understanding and his wisdom. Take your power back now and never give it away again.
Aug 23, 2011. If JW's are right only 51% of the time time, it means that other religions are right 49% of the time. In other words, what they have to say is almost as truthful. I'm not sure that this statement is factual. Just because someone or some entity is 51% correct, does mean that the others are 49% correct. This might be true if there were only 2 options, but with religion there are many more than 2 options. Technically all religions could be all wrong. I know that you are just trying to make a point, but you lost me on that line of reasoning. Surely not disagreeing with you, just wanted to share that line of thought.
